You can bypass the iFit lock when first setting up (and probably later, too, but since I never activated it, I am not sure about the specifics). Just press and hold the iFit button for around 30 seconds. That’s it. Make sure the magnetic clip is attached in order for it to start.

Please try again later.After the purchase of a proform treadmill that came with a 1 year member ship that came with it and was activated, I noticed charges showing up in my checking account. When you activate the "free" 1 year membership it requires a credit card for renewal that I figured I would deal with later. When I called to correct the charges, they told me that this happens often and they offered me an extra 3 months onto the back end of the membership. This rubbed me the wrong way and I decided to cancel it altogether since the company obviously has a lack of integrity. They refused to refund me the 3 months I inadvertantly paid for. Even with the 3 month add on offer, they said that it required a credit card number again for that. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. My autistic son, who happens to work at Best Buy where this was purchased saved for a long time for this purchase so I am upset that they would take advantage of anyone, let alone someone with special needs. I want my $120. and some change back and an apology. I saved all the original packaging where it clearly shows a 1 yr. membership. This is a fraud and they know it.

Please try again later.I have rarely used the Ifit feature at all because I am not a beginner and don't really don't need encouragement but it is good if you need encouragement. I got mine with a years free subscription but you can use this treadmill on "free mode" without connection to the internet unlike the Peloton equipment demands. Peloton will make you pay for the monthly subscription even if you don't use their programs. Basically without paying them monthly, for a machine you already own, it doesn't work. That's a massive class action lawsuit coming and maybe the end of Peloton. I recommend choosing NordicTrack or Proform (which I have).
