To protect your connection, we strongly recommend plugging this machine into a surge suppressor and an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with local codes and ordinances. The outlet must be on a nominal 120-volt circuit capable of carrying 15 or more amps. To avoid overloading the circuit, do not plug other electrical devices, except for low-power devices such as a cell phone charger, into the surge suppressor or outlet on the same circuit. If your circuit breaker trips repeatedly when the treadmill is used, there are instructions on the front cover of the user manual for purchasing an arc filter.
