“Explain why new DA29-00003G replacement filters no longer fit in older Samsung refrigerators I've seen the same issue that Ive encountered, where the replacement water filters for DA29-00003G have had their connector teeth redesigned (for some mysterious reason that no one can explain), and cannot be connected to my Samsung RF266AERS model refrigerator. I've tried buy AquaPure brand replacements and even the Home Depot HDX brand, and both now have the same defective connector teeth design. I've attached an old and new view of the connector tooth design on two identical model HDX replacement filters so you can see the difference. AcuaPure filters have the same tooth connector design change. It would be nice is Ms Samsung could actually look into this with Samsung instead of pretending that we all don't know how to replace the water filter. This is really turning me off from buying Samsung products going forward.”

Im having the same issue my replacement filters dont work in my Samsung frig. The new filer is not the same but its the same numbers. My fridge is older Im guessing they dont make them anymore?? So Samsung trying tomake people buy new fridges ? Makes me not wanting to buy anything again from them. Terrible on them!!!!!!!

Please try again later.Instead of wondering why they changed the design, which was obviously aimed at making you buy a new refrigerator, you should be asking why these plastic canisters are so darn expensive in the first place! $50 for something that ought to cost $5 (like an oil filter, for example)
