I’m actually having the same issue, I feel like I have to shove down the mic in my throat so my peers can hear me. Sad update

I have dug all through the settings, but I am unable to boost the mic levels, and it even appears to be stuck at "Tape Recorder" quality. It is 100% useless at this point.

If your friends can barely hear you through your mic, don’t worry — I figured out a solution that worked for me, and hopefully it helps you too! Step-by-Step Fix: 1. Download Dolby Access Go to the Microsoft Store and download the Dolby Access app. This enables Dolby Atmos for Headphones, which boosts your audio clarity. 2. Set Your Audio Output Go to Settings > General > Volume & audio output Under Headset format, select Dolby Atmos for Headphones You’ll be prompted to open or download the Dolby Access app if you haven’t already. 3. Reset Audio Settings In the Audio Testing & Details section, reset your audio settings to default. This helps clear any conflicting configurations. 4. Configure Audio Setup Set your audio output to 5.1 Uncompressed for richer, more accurate sound. 5. Adjust Settings in Dolby Access Open the Dolby Access app. Go to the Products tab and ensure Dolby Atmos for Headphones is selected. Then, go to the Settings tab: Set it to Game mode Make sure Performance is turned ON 6. Final Check Go back and double-check that your Headset Audio Output is still set to Dolby Atmos for Headphones. The Result? After doing this, my friends told me they could finally hear me clearly — I can even whisper into my mic and they hear every word! Hope this helps anyone dealing with the same issue. Pass it on!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The RIG 800 series headphones have a dial for volume on the lower part of the back of the left headphone. Above that, on the upper part of the backside of the left headphone there is another dial. It has a symbol at one end that looks like a Controller, and on the other end, a symbol that looks like a persons head and shoulders. When you want to use the microphone, dial it down to word the symbol of the person. When you want to hear more game, dial it toward the symbol of the controller.
