I Purchased this for my mothers apartment in her assisted living community. I want to do the same thing as you but truly cannot figure out how to get the audio to work loud enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would think so. I talk to my dogs in the back yard and tell them to come in. May depend on Granny's hearing and how far away from her you put the camera but I think it should work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would work as a Granny-cam. We use one with my aged father-in-law for this purpose. As for if the speaker is loud and clear, that really depends on the internet speed. I have a fast connection at my house and the audio is clear for the most part - there are some garbled/dropped parts when talking through the speaker. The mic seems to pick up really well when connected as a two-way device. What we do, with my father-in-law, is have the Ring camera for checking on his safety and wellness and use an Echo Dot for communicating with him. He can adjust the volume on the Dot to higher settings if needed and has figured out how to make Alexa "call" the other devices in the group.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ability to talk back and forth over this camera is the best I have experienced out of all of the cameras I’ve owned.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it’s clear & loud to hear. We do use it to keep my mom & dogs in check.
