A:Answer Hello willm2work,
Great question. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 has all the same great features of the previous generations of battery video doorbells, including Ring Video Doorbell, Ring Video Doorbell 2, Ring Video Doorbell 3, and Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus.
The difference is it adds a number of new features on top of them. These include:
Dual-band wifi that work on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
1080p HD video with night vision.
Color Pre-Roll enabled.
The main difference between Ring Video Doorbell 3 and Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus and Ring Video Doorbell 4, is that Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus and Ring Video Doorbell 4 have a pre-roll feature, which allows you to see up to 4 additional seconds of video before a motion event is triggered – a first-to-market feature for battery-powered doorbells and unique exclusively to Ring.
The main differences between the Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus and Ring Video Doorbell 4 is that the pre-roll video previews on Video Doorbell 4 are in color, have a higher quality video, and improved nigh time functionality.
