A:Answer The Roku device allows you to choose from many service providers (YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.), some of which offer local channels in their array of accessible channels--local, cable, premium cable (HBO, Starz, Showtime). Personally, I like YouTube TV, which provides all the local channels, and about 50 other popular cable channels--all for $50/month. Definitely beats Comcast and U-Verse, unless you really like having 200 shopping channels and watching soaps from Argentina. Suggest purchasing Ultra or the Premier Roku box given their processing power and memory. BTW, I found the streaming delivered by YouTube TV to be equal or better than the HD signal delivered by U-Verse. One final bit of advice: make certain you subscribe to faster Internet service, which generally comes at a better price today.
