• No, you do not have to have cable service to get a Roku. If you have cable service you are able to download the app so you do not have to use a box (spectrum). This also has free movies you can watch. If you subscribe to other services like Starz or Hulu you can download the app and watch it from the Roku as well. I hope this helps.

• You have to have a TV that will accept wi-fi or an ethernet hookup. The instructions are fairly straightforward, and not very complicated. I've had Rokus since they first came out.
