The remote batteries drain much faster than those in a regular tv remote control.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try using different batteries. I dont hardly switch mine out. I have been using Amzon basic rechargeable batteries and love them, and went at least 4 months without changing them. The only issue we had is if are using the headphones with the remote, this will drain batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine goes through batteries very quickly, but I use the earbuds with it every night. I have tried Panasonic Eneloop rechargeables and they don't last very long...trying high-end alkaline for the first time this week.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That’s not normal. I can’t imagine the remote is drawing much current. Must be your rechargeable batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have that problem with my Ultimate. I've only had it a few weeks, but the battery is holding. Are you certain that nothing is holding one of the buttons down?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe a faulty electronic have you tried various brand batteries because I haven’t replaced my batteries yet and I’ve had this ROKU for a while.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I get the feeling it may be that the voice detection circuits are on all the time, this way it is listening all the time, makes you wonder doesn't it. Yes, anyway they can listen in on us whether we like it or not. Probably something fishy here I'd bet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too am going through batteries at a ridiculous pace. Unfortunately, I suspect as one other user that it is because of using the earbuds. Haven’t done the control experiment yet because the earbuds are so useful
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Suggest that you use normal Alkaline batteries which last longer than recharables. Also, rechargeables have lower voltage than normal batteries. I use the remote and the batteries last several months.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote is not a traditional IR remote. You have to use quality Alkaline or Lithium batteries.
