Not with this software unless you have an old VHS camera and can record your movie off the screen. This is strictly VHS to CD or DVD.

(High-end industry places that may open to consumers for the best quality transfers will use "film scanning" with "film scanner"). With that, even a consumer type service, current tech. can likely support putting the transfer onto DVD-Video or Video-CD. The option though if you could do it yourself (& keep cost down) is going with DVD-Video & placing Chapter markers into your old 8mm/Super8 movie! Only thing, not sure if the included software & version with this Roxio product will have that Chapter markers feature. Further details for a DIY: Track down an old/used film-to-tape transfer kit "box" (the type without the video camera nor film projector). Looks like a small box with a white/grayish screen & other end sort of whole for the camera lens. That would be great if you have got a lot of film to transfer. Of course you'd still need a video camera & proper film projector (if it's sound-on-film you'd need a sound projector, etc). With newer & many HD camcorders out, just make sure it gives you an S-Video or composite (Yellow jack on some cable ends) output option. Hey (yet another drawback for BestBuy, unless you buy the HD camcorder from them), is you'd already be getting your old film digitized & further transfered! With the said analog output earlier, you could then use the Roxio product to get it to disc.
