“Does the teeth and gears require periodic lubrication? If so, how often is lubrication required? I noticed that the Royal 18 sheet model doesn't require lubrication, so I'm hoping the same applies to the 8 sheet model.”

Hello mitsfamily the MC8 shredder as well as all Royal shredders do not require oiling or periodic oiling. Some manufacturers of paper shredders sell shredder oil and or lubrication sheets. Therefore they promote the use of oiling the cutter assembly. It won't hurt the Royal shredder as long as the proper type of oil is used, approved vegetable based oil. However, as said, it is not required. Royal Support Team
