- Answer Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. The Q2U does require a cable connection which could get difficult for passing the mic around. I would recommend looking into our XPD2 Handheld system. This will give you that same USB capability and the same microphone style while also being wireless for easier sharing! - Answer I bought this microphone right after posting my question. I found that the microphone is not slim enough to insert into a standard microphone stand. HOWEVER, it does come with a mic holder that screws into a standard mic stand, so, problem solved. (I really like this mic but I may have to return it because, unlike my existing mic, it doesn't work on USB cables longer than roughly 20 ft. due to cable loss.)

- Answer Rest assured this mic will not pick up key board noise like other mics, since the q2u is a dynamic microphone it’s sole purpose is to basically reduce all background noise, hopefully this helps

Questiondoes this mic have a mini pin connection as well so i can use my mini pin cable to connect to my dslr? i see the xlr and usb connection at the bottom of the mic, but i also see the hole that looks like i can insert a mini pin.
