A:Answer Hi, I have the Samsung fridge with the self-filling pitcher inside and noticed (and did) all the same things noted in the comments. After a while the pitcher gets very moldy. I threw it in the dishwasher and the pitcher part melted so I couldn’t put the top back on. The replacement pitcher is $100 (ridiculous). But what I decided to try was to remelt (heat up) the pitcher and bend the plastic back so that the top fit again. IT WORKED! I first tried to run it through the dishwasher and then remold it, but it didn’t get hot enough. I then boiled a large pot of water, put the top of the pitcher in it until it became pliable, slid the top into the hot plastic and ran it under cold water to harden it in place. The tops back on, and it works in the fridge. The melting incident is unnoticeable. Thank goodness because I didn’t want to spend $100 on a plastic pitcher, but it is a key feature of the fridge. Just wanted to post this in case it helps someone else. Samsung should fix the moldy/melting pitcher issue.
