A:AnswerYes thats true.
There is no Ethernet connection.
But you can access the web through a device that offers web connection through an Ethernet connection and also has a HDMI output to connect to the Samsung Atmos sound bar.
A:AnswerYou can connect the main soundbar to WI-FI using a multiroom app on your tablet/phone using the "Samsung Multiroom" app. Samsung also has a support page, where you can actually download the firmware itself and put it on your USB stick to use as well.
Both options worked for me.
A:AnswerSame thing here in europe, even no way to upgrade firmware, or info regarding doing this like format of usb stick or via samsung telefoon upgrade (stops at 4%)
samsung = samsucks.
A:AnswerI have mine placed above the TV. The audio quality is the same if not better. To create Atmos Effect sound waves travel up then back down to complete the effect. Shorter the distance faster the effect.
A:AnswerI connected it to my Sony Z9D without any concerns. I would recommend investing in a Logitech Universal Remote to avoid using multiple remotes.
A:AnswerYou may have the volume set to a minus setting. Using the Samsung remote push the woofer button up to increase volume to +1 or +2. I've found +3 gives it too much bass (if there is such a thing).
A:AnswerI'd say don't buy it after two weeks I cannot get the surround sound speakers to work. i've talked to Best Buy personnel, I've talked to the Samsung expert at the store. He suggested that I see the Samsung expert in another city which I'm willing to do but people who answer the phone there do not care. They cannot provide the hours the expert comes in. I spent $8k on the Q9 tv and $1,500 on the soundbar and I've got nothing to show for it. In addition the sound configuration seems to be reset about 60% of the time I look at the setup. I notice it sounds horrible and guess what the configuration either goes back to tv sound OR all the equalizer settings are on zero and surround mode has been set to standard sound. For top of the line this is you know what I'd like to say kind of quality. And Best Buy does not care. Stay away from Best Buy and I'd seriously question Samsung at this point. One final clue that someone should be able to answer the TV setting for surround sound balance is grayed out. So something isn't set up right between the tv and the soundbar I'd guess. I've connected it with the built in WIFI and with the HDMI cable so both ways provide the same results JUNK
A:AnswerThe Samsung HW-k850 is a nearly identical model as the HW-K950 but lacks the rear surround speakers. Both models sound great and are easy to set up, but the rear speakers on the K950 really do enhance the cinema experience.
