A:Answer Without going back into all of the research we did, the MU8000 series is last year's model and the NU8000 is this year's model just released in April 2018. There are reviews out there on CNET and such that will tell you what the differences are. The NU8000 does have the spots for separate legs. I do feel holes further in from where the legs are at on ours but there are no holes, panels or anything on the back of the set in the middle to mount a middle stand, only the holes to attach the TV to a wall mount. The legs on ours are 60 inches apart where they insert into the body of the TV. You just insert them into the holes and they click or lock into place. No screws, bolts or tools necessary. The actual feet that touch the stand the TV is sitting on angle outward a bit and they touch at about 63 inches apart.
