The screen is huge and laying it flat definitely risks breaking it. It is highly recommended to transport this TV upright. Do not risk spending your money only to have this arrive at your home broken. Use tie down straps to keep the TV vertical or have Best Buy deliver it. I used the delivery service (had no truck) and had no issues with unit arriving safely. I am glad I chose that route.

I actually purchased straight from Samsung, and two guys in a pick up truck delivered it. They had a few in the back so they were tied down, and standing up. I picked up my samsung 55, and 65 inch TV's with my truck, and transported them both laying down, fronts facing the sky. I have had them for over a year, and no issues.
