yes you can clone OS but i wouldnt do it at best buy. you can do it yourself for free and best buy will charge you alot. A simple google search will show you how to do it quick and free with no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is possible. I used Acronis true Image software to make an image of my 256 and then installed this to my 1 T drive using the same software and an acronis boot disk. Easy and problem free.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can get a USB hard drive inclosure, put the new 1TB SSD drive In it and Plug it in USB to your laptop. When you register the Samsung SSD, they have a free download for their cloning software. Make sure your OS is fully updated with all latest updates and then run the cloning program. If you get Microsoft debugging errors, keep clicking “ignore”. The program will clone the 256 SSD perfectly. Then shutdown the laptop, open it, and replace the 256 SSD with the new Samsung 1TB. You can clone the drive yourself but if you don’t want to open your Laptop yourself, I’m sure Geeksquad at your local Bestbuy can do it for a fee. I would upgrade the ram too since you or a tech is going to have to open the laptop.

Please try again later.Yes, it comes with cloning software download code in the box, load it on your old drive you need a sata to usb or external hdd holder for this but even buying one of them is better than letting sell you stuff you dont need squad do it. The cloning software should automatically extend the partition to the size of the new drive for you or let you set it.
