Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Samsung's software can clone a 1.5TB onto this 1TB SSD so long as the 1.5TB that is being cloned has less than 1TB in disk usage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can clone your hard drive to the Samsung solid state even if your current drive has higher capacity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know how Samsung's software works, but you can download the Acronis disk copy software from their site for free...I've used it several times and it works great...It's easy to use and will copy and resize the new drive, if your correct about the data on your old drive...I replace a 2TB Seagate drive on my wife's desktop with this Samsung 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive using the Acronis software and had no problems...Very smooth process......
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SSDs can be successfully cloned however cloning software for mechanical hard drives will not work. Check on YouTube for pointers on how to clone an SSD and the software to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can clone from a bigger hard drive as long as the data will fit on the new SSD drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This doesn’t exactly answer your question, but i hope it helps. I’ve never used Samsung’s data migration software. But, Macrium Reflect and Acronis True Image can do what you ask. Macrium Reflect has a free version. I’ve had success with both, but if you’re cloning a boot drive, I’ve had better success with Acronis.
