A:AnswerThis player does not support Amazon Instant Video at the time of this posting.
However, the BD-F5900 model will support Amazon Instant Video.
All of the Samsung products that support Amazon Instant Video can be found here:

A:AnswerYes, it's wired to the TV. It connects to Wifi to download content. It doesn't wirelessly connect to a smart TV. I don't know of any disc player that does that. Chromecast only works on a computer that's using the chrome browser.
A:AnswerNope. It's misleading about what it has. There are certain apps installed like Netflix and Hulu. You can stream through those, but there's no browser to just go to whatever site you want to stream, nor can you install new apps. Booo.
A:AnswerIt's a Blu Ray not DVD but yes, you need the correct HDMI cord or adapter but it should work. Also the Blu Ray has wifi so this may be an option as well. I haven't personally tried this yet.
A:AnswerWiFi ready means that you have to buy an additional piece to receive the transmission. Usually a usb type device that looks like a thumb drive.
A:AnswerThis Blu-Ray player can be connected to a Home Theater system.
The unit itself doesn't power the speakers - rather, it would connect to an audio receiver that can amplify the audio signal so that there's power for the speakers.
A receiver with an HDMI pass-through, or by using the Coaxial Digital Audio Out jack are the two ways this can be connected to a receiver.

A:AnswerThe BD-F5700 - and the 2013 lineup - will not have composite cables (yellow AV, red and white audio) inputs. The player itself only has HDMI, which is a digital cable.
There are some models of Samsung Home Theater systems on the market that may have AV cables, however none of the 2013 stand-alone players will have composite as an option.

A:AnswerYes, you have to have Wi-Fi to do things like stream online videos on this player. The built-in Wi-Fi feature simply "finds" your available connection and connects to it.
A:AnswerYou can get a regular television, as this will have many of the same Apps as Samsung Smart Televisions.
However, many of the upgraded TV models have it included already as a feature without a huge price increase, so having Smart TV twice is better than not having Smart TV at all.
