Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had similar issues connecting to an older smart TV. Often the port works but the signal fails to connect, usually after a loss of power. Resetting the TV has helped, though it's not an ideal solution. I do recommend users screenshot their TV audio output settings as some soundbar or receiver devices favor either PCM or Bitstream, but won't work on the other (my setup works on PCM, surround). Helpful to know in the event you need to reconfigure your sound but don't necessarily expect it to be the TV default. Another option is to simply unplug the hdmi cable for a few seconds, then reseat it. May help the TV to rediscover the device.
