“Can't figure out how to open the remote to install batteries”

I had the same problem inserting the batteries. SAMSUNG was no help at all , could not understand the service rep. Best Buy referred me to a vid on Utube. Insert a table knife in the seam at the bottom of the remote and pry up, trust me it takes a bit of effort but it works ......... terrible design and it will leave scratches on the bottom of the remote but it is the only way ............
