Hi, please be informed that the SanDisk Extreme Portable 500GB SSD Drive includes a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A Adapter in the retail box. You may use the cable and the adapter to connect this SSD Drive to the USB-A of your Apple MacBook Air 2017. However, please be informed that you might not get the optimized transfer speeds when connected to a USB-A port.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeah it will work, I use with my 2019 MacBook Air. The SSD comes with a usb type C and type A connector. You will have to format the hard drive to use with MAC which there are many YouTube tutorials on how to do it’s which is pretty easy.
