Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can wash the foam filters and even the foam housing (felt) filter, but I do not recommend washing the HEPA. They last quite a long time before needing replacement and are very inexpensive. HEPA filters are designed to filter microscopic particles down to .3 µm I believe and would take a lifetime to dry properly and you’ll never achieve that same level of filtration. Under normal vacuuming circumstances (for instance- your living space, not a dusty woodworking garage) set an alert for about four months out and spend the six bucks to buy a new HEPA, you’ll be much better off. Also, just a tip...we’ve found the generic foam and felt filters to be similar in quality but when it comes to the HEPA filter always buy genuine shark from shark....we purchased a couple HEPA filters that were not genuine shark and you could see right through them. The quality was awful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The HEPA filter is a disposable filter, I cant say if its washable but its a "paper" style filter so I assume no. The foam dust filter in the canister is washable and the roller if like a soft brush that does an awesome job at grabbing hair, I dont see a need to was it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, We are happy to confirm that the all of the filters for the Shark® APEX® DuoClean with Zero-M™ Powered Lift-Away® are washable. To wash them, rinse them with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Allow the filters to air dry for at least 24 hours. When washing the HEPA filter, rinse it dirty side down. Do not use soap. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
