A:AnswerI would use the 3rd setting. It will do the same as 2 but a little less suction so it won't pull up the carpet. Hardwood mode won't work. You risk damaging your rug and/or vacuum.
A:AnswerI have a Shark lift away that after 12 yrs finally died. It would go for five minutes then quit. It quit sucking just spit the dirt back out. Was a great little sucker for a long long time.
A:AnswerIt is a horrible design choice to not have an OFF setting for the rolling brushes. A roller that can not be turned off will damage a handmade carpet.
