“Does this product require wi-fi or attachment to another product to work?”

It has a built cell phone SIM card tray but I find that WiFi works best because it depends on the reception of the carrier and where you are trying to secure.

This product needs to be activated using SimpliSafe base unit. Yes it will need to be connected to wifii.

Yes, it’s part of the SimpliSafe security system. You will need a base station and WiFi for it to work. Excellent system

Yes you have to use wifi and also sync it to your base station
