• A:Answer Yes. It is fastened with double back tape or small screws which are supplied. One side fastens to an unmovable part and the other to the sliding part. They have to be within 2 inches when closed. I even have one on my overhead garage door. We have used simplisafe for years and are very pleased with the system.

• A:Answer You could use two base stations at the same time. Each base station would require you to have an account for each one. You can have several account on the same profile. I have two as well, both on the same profile, one is my home the other is by business.

• A:Answer You will need the base station and the key pad for the sensor to work they offer a simple monitoring plan for a monthly fee if you want to use your phone to access the alarm will cost you more , system can be use with out monitoring services but you will not get alerts on your phone and you will have to manually at the keypad turn the system on and off also you will need WiFi.

• A:Answer The Entry Sensor works by having the main sensor piece detect a magnet. So it works for any door or window that opens all the way. However, it will only trigger when that door or window is actually opened. You might want to add a Motion Sensor or a Glassbreak Sensor as an added layer of security.

• A:Answer Entry Sensors, and other sensors, have a range of about 800ft over open air. Results may vary in a home environment, so we recommend you keep your sensors within 400ft.

Q: QuestionWould this work on a refrigerator to keep senior family member out of refrigerator and alert caregiver if refrigerator was opened... do not need outside monitoring just an auditable sound to go off?

• A:Answer Hi I have window and door alarms, bought at Menards, I use on my windows, looks just like simplesafe alarm. But it's only an alarm, not a security system, but it's very loud. The cost 5.99 or so and goes on with double tape, use for any door or drawers, where ever you want. Sold at most home improvement store, but it's all you would need.
