Your radio is not XM ready. The adapter cannot be used. You would need to replace your factory radio with a suitable double DIN head unit that is either XM ready or has XM built in. I recently put a Kenwood DMX7006S and SiriusXM adapter into my 2002 Explorer and I love it. Best Buy will install most of the units at no extra charge. If you decide to do it yourself, they can sell you the appropriate Metra adapter. It is not difficult to do yourself.
