It's subscription based. If you remove the stock stereo and check the back inputs you can see if a receiver is connected if so you can go to the Siriusxm site create an account and add service to your car with the receiver information just set to Sirius input and ch 1 will give you the code if you don't have the tuner installing this will allow you to complete the steps listed above.
