Always worth getting a new vent. Most vents collect debris, and if there is a build up of heavy lint, fire can become an issue. Smart to start with a new vent whenever you get a new dryer. Well worth the cost. We had ours professionally installed too. Also worth the price for us as our spacecwas tight behind our dryer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend to attach a new vent to a new dryer. So if the product doesn't work then it will not be fault on your vent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on the condition of your existing vent, and whether or not you are trying to have Best Buy install your new dryer. Best Buy requires a new vent kit and power cord to be purchased for them to install the dryer for you. (I assume for liability purposes.) If your existing vent is in good condition, you can re-use it. Just make sure that the inside of the tubing is as lint free as you can get it before re-attaching it to your new dryer by running a rag through with a stick or something. If it's too clogged and/or hard to clean, you may want to save yourself some work by purchasing just a new length of tubing and reuse your old coupler(s).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is usually recommended but not required. It is best to replace the old vent when replacing the dryer in order to reduce lint build up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No but make sure the old vent is clean before deciding. This one is very easy to install.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good idea to replace it. The outside flapper control could be worn out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey I see this question has been unanswered from 4 years and 4 months ago. Well I think you would be fine with your existing vent although Best buy may not hook up your new dreyer to it since they state that on their delivery and installation guidelines. Maybe 4 years and 4 months ago they may not have had this policy. Hope that helps the next guy. Im pretty sure that did not help you though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later."Need," in this case, may be a difficult thing to determine. If the vent you have works, and the warranty or installation doesn't require you to buy a certain type vent kit, probably you can live without it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We do recommend replacing the dryer vent when you are replacing the dryer, especially if your old dryer vent is plastic or foil. Thank You, Frigidaire
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it will work. In general it is standar size.
