No, that is not normal and not acceptable. That is a quality control issue, especially on a tv. Many allow returns for one dead pixel, regardless of size. The "all will have them" says more about the company and their knowledge of a defective product (and not wanting to support returns) than it does an INDUSTRY standard. That reply is almost a guarantee Sony tv's will have issues and that is a major concern. Do not keep it, too much money for issues like that. (Fyi, on my 3rd replacement, none for dead pixels but constant panel defects thus far but I am checking the 3rd over and if it has a dead/stuck pixel I am refusing delivery and will demand my money back from corporate. Fyi, after 30 days they only send recertified with a 2 year warranty and the BB extended warranty has to go through Sony warranty while it is within a year so do not bother buying that. Just work with Sony direct.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Kallum37, In all LCD or LED panels, there's a chance that a small number of pixels don't change color. This is normal for all LCD displays from all manufacturers. Most defects are noticeable only when an all-white or all-black picture is shown. They shouldn't be noticeable under normal operation. Because a defective pixel or pixels is normal on all LCD or LED screens, there is a high chance that a replacement LCD may also have them. It could have more defective pixels or the pixels may appear in a more noticeable position than on the one it replaced. -Jerome

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am an IT tech with 18 years experience under my belt. I have worked around PC's and monitors for a lot longer than that. During this time I have seen only three dead pixels. Those 3 were on my ASUS ROG Laptop screen after I dropped it off my desk. In my opinion, dead pixels are not common and are the result of a forceful blow to the screen itself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Honestly no that's kinda of odd make sure upon unboxint your are not grabbing it incorrectly that could be the issue because the panel Ian so thin and fragile I highly recommend using them lift upon unboxint to prevent any accidental damage. My first replacement had lines going through it that couldn't be fixed so they replaced it my second one is doing fine so far no issues and I was extra careful lupine unboxing or even on the way home make sure it's tight and not being pressed up on anything hat could damage or make sure it firm in place not moving around and it must be up right not laying flat that should fix any future problems
