Short answer is "Yes, but" Long answer is that the screen is capable of 120 FPS at 4K resolution, but the firmware won't support it until later in the year (presumably when the PS5 is released). Not that you'll miss the framerate until then, unless you're planning to also hook up a rather powerful PC and use it as a monitor in the meantime.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We purchased this tv the week series x or xbox came out as the Sony Rep in store said it was now shipped with 120hrtz firmware on the 20 20 model. Well it is not. We have tried updating manually and changing the 3 and 4th to enhanced and 60hrtz is the only option. I thought maybe the hdmi 2.1 cord shipped with my xbox series x might be bad so I asked the salesman if he would locate one and will buy it. He brings back a 39.99 cord and we purchased and left. After getting home the cord he sold us is not Ultra HDMI. It was regular hdmi and the identical model is 9.99 on Amazon. We like the TV but we are hoping the firmware update is still coming. We bought this tv only for this feature. All in all being in sales all my life mainly appliances and half electronics at Circuit, I am just not happy with misinformation especially from a Sony rep and then the cord issue. I always asked and told the customer if I was unsure of the answer. Its tilting as we orginally got the lg olead 12hrtz and it was amazing for the two days it lasted as the screen filled with horizontal lines. Apparently the internet says this is a known issue and it will be fixed on next year models. Again not a good experience. I do hope some one from the store reaches out to us as we are also having a issue with Gamestop online not shipping my headset in the bundle. They charged 130.00 for it and never sent it. I made 17 phone calls and I have never experienced customer service this bad. They hung up on me and not once made any effort that I can tell to fix the issue as they would say they did. It will be there next week. That was two months ago as they were shipping parts of the bundle not street dated seperate. We have purchsed alot from Best Buy but this time with Covid I sent my Fiancee in too purchase it after he related the info to me over the phone. I have immune system issues and I am very high risk. This has been the hardest year of my life. Stay safe everyone. Thanks for listening.

Some people on the bravia subreddit, and elsewhere, have complained that there is a blurring issue (mainly on text) when playing in this mode. I haven't noticed it myself but it seems very prevalent; Sony did release a statement saying that will be fixed in a future update.
