Hi Sound, Thank you for inquiring about our BRAVIA XR A80J. The Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology in this TV is the best it has ever been with Dolby Atmos supported. However, if you want to get the full home theater experience, we recommend one of our soundbars like the upcoming HT-S40R with wireless rear speakers for the full 5.1 surround sound effect or our upcoming HT-A7000, or HT-A9 for even more immersion with Acoustic Center Sync. The A80J has the Acoustic Center Sync feature to pair with a compatible Sony audio product in conjunction with a full surround sound system. Acoustic Center Sync is compatible with Sony Soundbar HT-A7000 and Home Theater System HT-A9. When connected to a BRAVIA TV with Acoustic Center Sync using the supplied cable, both the soundbar and the TV become the center speaker in your home theater system. We hooked up a Klipsch sound bar and wireless subwoofer to our Sony 65" OLED 4K TV and it worked great. However when we moved up to the Sony 77" TV, we hooked it up to our home theater which consists of Denon audio/video receiver with left and right front tower speakers, a 2-speaker center channel speaker and a wired subwoofer. All of the speakers were Klipsch. I was very happy with the sound quality of both set-ups, although I will admit that the home theater option is my preference. Of course that opinion may be favored because of the TV that is associated with that set-up. Good luck. Regards, Speedwagn
