Hi Molly, We regret to hear the TV automatically switches the audio output to external speakers. We'd love to help you troubleshoot your concern by isolating your sources and understanding your connections. You can isolate this issue by following the troubleshooting steps below. Make sure the sound output is set to TV speakers and not Audio system, then check the Audio system prioritization. Press the (Quick Settings), then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — disable [Audio system prioritization]. If enabled, the message "Switching to External Speakers" will appear and this automatically switches the audio output to a BRAVIA Sync compatible external speakers it detected when the TV is powered on.
