- Answer There is not a HDMI port, this is a streaming only device and you need to put the Tablo app on all your devices and TV's. You need an Android device or Roku on all your TV's with the Tablo app.

- Answer Once you’ve connected your Tablo to your existing internet & streaming device, ( simply download the Tablo Ap on your Rouku or Fire TV device) and you then control Tablo with your current remote Tablo will automatically recognize your existing remote. I hope this helps answer your question

QuestionWe heavily use our fire tv for live/streaming with our 1 tv ant connection, would I have to disc it and plug it only into the Tablo tv box as well as the only ethernet cord as well? Would this essentially just use the fire-tv as a monitor only by app?

- Answer not sure I understand your question completely but if you have a TV that is Fire OS, and you have a cable that runs from an antenna to your Fire TV then I think the answer is yes, your Fire TV will display over the air broadcasts via the Tablo. If you are already watching broadcast TV on your Fire TV then you'll connect the antenna cable that comes from your Antenna into the Tablo. You'll need to add the Tablo Tv (Gen 4) app to your Fire TV. Then run setup via an Android or Apple phone. Once that's done you'll be able to watch TV via your Tablo. The added benefit is that you'll be able to record TV shows and watch at your convenience. Also, other TVs in your house will be able to watch and record TV shows from that same Tablo. That's nice. I have the currently available 2 tuner tablo. It works great, we can watch shows (live or recorded) on any of our 3 TVs and 4 handheld devices. It works for me.

- Answer The Tablo is set to record by program by default. Once you tell it to record a program then it will continue to record that program whenever it airs until you tell it not to. Beyond that you can specify which channel to record when the program airs. If you don’t do that, and the program airs on multiple channels, even at the same time, then it will record both channels. You can also specify that it should record All airings, or use New airings which helps reduce the recording of old episodes. It also lets you specify how many episodes to record. All, 10, 5, 3, 1. All is the default.

- Answer Yes that's why there are four tuners, Four streams and four recorders. Only possible with the four tuner model. I have the two tuner model.

- Answer No, these are streaming DVR's. You would need either a cheap Homeworx DVR with almost no features or much more expensive TiVo or the $300 Zapperbox for direct HDMI connections. Except the TiVo and ZB will still need internet for the guide, UI, icons and all that. I think the TiVo will stop recording after 2 weeks with no connection as the guide date will run out, probably same with the Zapper.

- Answer With only 2 tuners if you're watching 1 channel, you can only record 1 program, so if you have programs preset to record, the conflict will cause tablo to skip a recording of one of your programs. But, with 4 tuners, you could record 3 shows and watch 1 show, or record 2 shows and watch 2 on multiple tv's at the same time.

- Answer Out of the box record time would be 20-24 in high definition, 40-50 in standard definition. Only has 128 kb of memory. I ended up adding a 2 terabyte Hard Drive for extra storage and it works great. I Highly recommend this and is definitely worth the price.

- Answer It does after the show. While the show is recording (if you are partly behind), or immediately afterwards it does not. But an hour or so later it will.
