Don't know about Firetv but works great with my Roku
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I only have a Roku, however it works wonderfully. The interface is like any streaming service with thumbnails and show descriptions. There is also a grid guide if you prefer that method. There is one glitch in the interface if you are recording a show and don't want to just watch it live you have to hit the rewind arrow button to get out of the live stream. If you just hit the left button or the button that looks like the old rewind fast forward buttons then nothing happens. Once you hit the rewind arrow button time shifting becomes available and you can skip around while the show is recording you just don't have the thumbnails for skipping around until the show is finished. Good device and the 4 tuners make it so you can record 4 streaming channels and 4 live tv channels at the same time. Makes it so I can record an extra 5 mins at the end of shows and they don't conflict with other shows recording.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are problems with both that need to be resolved (via software updates). It would also depend upon the model/generation of either streaming device you're using. The most recent generation streaming devices outperform previous generations (but how they interact with the Tablo still requires some improvements).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use it on Android TV and Roku and it works good on both. I don't have Firetv but I think FireTV is based on the Android OS so it should be fine on that OS also,
