• The TV remote is not designed to control connected external devices. To use the TV remote to control volume, the soundbar would need to be connected via HDMI eARC. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

• I was able to pair the TV with a soundbar but a tech saavy friend did it for me.
