QuestionMy home is 5000 sqft so from what I read this system will work however i have a large back yard and use laptops outside. Can I use an extender for the outside?

- Answer I bought this and our house is about 3200 sq ft. and it works really good. I work at the backyard a lot and we are only using 2 out of 3 towers. I am sure if you use all 3, you would not run into any issues. You can also use an extender if needed. Hope this helps

- Answer The Deco M4 is designed to provide seamless WiFi coverage up to 5,500 square feet within your home. Please bear in mind that like any WiFi device, the environment plays a significant role in range and placement. Physical obstructions, distance, and wireless interference will all affect what is the "optimal" placement for your Deco units. The app will provide helpful steps to ensure optimal placement. - Answer Hi JamesM, Deco Mesh and Archer Wi-Fi Routers are both great solutions for home networks, but they are different product lines and ecosystems. You can technically use both in your home (e.g., use the Archer as your main router and the Deco System as Access Points, or vice versa). However, Deco has some proprietary features that the Archer will not share, and the Archer router will not be manageable via the Deco app.

- Answer I have three geckos in my house. My house is 3,000 ft at 10 ft apart. They're not picking up signal or sending it back out. I had an IT guy come out and look at it. Said the routers are garbage. Get something different

- Answer Hi Gardener, By default, your Deco Dual-Band Mesh System will provide both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connectivity simultaneously, so your heat pump should be able to detect and connect to the Deco's network as long as its signal is within range.

- Answer Hi! Can you elaborate on how you intend to use it in regard to the detached garage? For example, do you plan to run Ethernet cabling to the garage, then hard-wire one of the Deco nodes to it? Or, do you intend to use all the Deco nodes in your home, but position them in a way that optimizes signal to the detached garage? If the latter, it could work well - as long as your Deco node placement is optimized for signal to reach the garage - and as long as the garage is not excessively far from the main house.

- Answer Yes, The Deco system supports both bands, but they will be under a single SSID. You are not able to split the bands into seperate networks with Deco.

- Answer No, at least not yet. The product may eventually be updated with the IoT network feature and if it is then it would have a separate SSID on 2.4GHz for IoT devices
