As far as I can tell, I use my iPad to stream movies to the projector and it works just fine! I don't see where there are vast differences between streaming via your iPhone or iPad. Dana the best advice I can give is for you to try it. Proof is in making the pudding. Just be careful unpacking your projector so that if you are not satisfied, you can return the it to BB. They are good about accepting returns.

Due to the copyright issues, some streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, HBO and Prime Video from mobile devices to the projector will be banned or restricted. It’s recommended to plug a TV stick or Roku stick into the projector or connect a laptop, Chromecast or wireless dongle to it via HDMI port to stream these services.
