“Why are the tech specs on RTINGS, Blog & Reddit posts saying that the 2020 Vizio M7/M8 TV supposed to support HDMI 2.1 (ports 1-4), now the Specs are SAYING “supported” NOT WORKING, UNSURE IF WILL. Vizio, did I buy a TV that DOESN’T SUPPORT HDMI 2.1?”

• As of launch, most 2020 TVs were awaiting patches for most 2.1 features. Realistically, there's no reason to worry about 2.1 on this TV as it is a 60hz panel and even VRR is handled well within the 60hz. That said, the patch for 2.1 support has been out since early December, and sites like rtings won't update their info until they can test it, which basically means they are bored. Vizio_Official subreddit is your best source for said information.

• I thought the exact same thing, you need to plug it into the first hdmi port then go to settings and allow 2.1 hdmi it is turned off by default, there is a thread on the vizio website with easy steps to turn this on!
