how do you change resolution from 480 or can you null

Resolution is based on the video source and not the TV. So if you have a YouTube video at 480p then the TV will only broadcast it at that resolution. It is not possible for any TV to upscale a resolution that low.

This display will show the resolution it is receiving from whatever source you are watching. VIZIO recommends using HDMI cables as that will provide the best resolution. Some set top boxes and other devices have settings that can be changed to adjust resolutions.
