- Answer Hi - Here's how you can delete a speed dial/memory numbers on the VTech SN5147. 1. Press MENU on the cordless handset in idle mode to enter the main menu. 2. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Direct memory, then press SELECT. 3. Press the arrow down button to scroll to M1, M2, M3, or M4. When the desired entry displays, press SELECT. 4. Press the arrow down button to scroll to DELETE, then press SELECT. The handset displays Confirm? 5. Press SELECT to confirm. Hope this helps!

Questionhow does the picture function work ?

- Answer The picture function allows you to pre-program frequently called numbers into the phone, then there’s a little plastic film that pops out so you can put a little photo of the people at those frequently called numbers (ie: Family members) on the buttons. When they need to call, they just look at the photo of who they want to call, and press that photo button. The phone will dial automatically whatever number you’ve pre-programmed for that photo. I hope that information helps. My Parents like the phone because the volume gets really loud so they can hear better.

Using the cordless handset, press the MENU button. 2. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Answering sys, then press MENU. 3. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Ans Sys setup, then press MENU. 4. Here's how you can delete the entries in the call block. 1. Press the Call block button on the cordless handset. 2. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Block list, then press Select. 3. Press the arrow down to scroll to Direct memory, then press Menu/Select. 3. Press the arrow down to scroll through M1-M8, then press Menu/Select twice. 4. Use the dial keypad to enter the phone number, then press Menu/Select. 5. Use the dial keypad to enter the name, then press the Menu/Select to save the entry. Hope this helps!

Questionthe maximum amplification(1 answer) Can the ringer volume be lowered or is it preset to ring loud all the time. I like the phone for my dad who has dementia but like to be able to adjust the volume as his hearing is excellent.

You can slide the VOL control on the cordless handset or on the telephone base to adjust the ringer volume.
