1 TB equals 1 million MB; so divide 1,000,000 by your average photo file size. For example a full frame DSLR 24 MP camera may have RAW file size of around 28 MB, which would give you space for around 35,000 images.

If you're saving high resolution images from DSLR cameras and smartphones, possibly 200+ images (1024 GB hard drive size divided by 5MB-sized pictures). You're probably going to want t pick up at least 3 TB just in case and for future proofing.
