Yes, the signals are using whatever/whichever tower is the closest. I have t-mobile, Google Fi and Verizon devices. It totally Depends on the towers distance and provider you are getting reception from ‘whether you get 3,4 or 5G. The device just boosts whatever service is available not a specific providers service.

Just plug it in and it works, so I'm pretty sure it will take whatever cell signal it finds and amplify it for you. I use Verizon phones, and I have an AT&T Harman Spark hotspot, and they both worked fine at the same time.
