Yes, the signals are using whatever/whichever tower is the closest. I have t-mobile, Google Fi and Verizon devices. It totally Depends on the towers distance and provider you are getting reception from ‘whether you get 3,4 or 5G. The device just boosts whatever service is available not a specific providers service.
