I need an answer too, I have same problem. Hey Culligan where are you????
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So this is going to be a bad time for those that don't have easy access to turn off your water. I ended up taking the top apart- 2 screws on top, 1 screw where on the bottom where the red button is- and popped the white assembly out. Be sure not to loose any of the o-rings on the inside. I whipped the access goop off the assembly (plenty left on the housing) and put it back together. It's still not the easiest to turn but it's not suck.
