“I need to replace Model WMH31017FW. Will Model WMH31017HW fit in the same bracket? I imagine Whirlpool would like me to use new brackets, but I don't want to go to the effort if there is no significant difference.”

• Hello JohnW. The mounting plate for models WMH31017FW and WMH31017HW are both part number W11025649. We would recommend using the new mounting plate when you install your new Microwave. We hope this helps!

• I don’t know that for sure and doubt Whirlpool customer service would tell you. But, I replaced an 11 year old Whirlpool microwave and everything was exactly the same. Didn’t have to install new bracket. So, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t the same.
