Yes. I recently learned this. I had setting it on the continuous setting. There are 2 other settings. I use the middle setting which sets the humidity at about 45. The machine could turn off when it reaches that setting. I don't know that mine has cut off. I put it on and don't pay a lot of attention unless the bucket is full. Then it cuts off automatically.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You set the dehumidifier and if you empty bucket instead of using hose to a drain it turns off when the bucket is full. So unless you are using the hose I would say it does not have a comfort option.
