Any review of the quality and performance of the G502 Proteus Core will apply to this mouse as it is simply the same mouse with no blue plastic and the addition of RGB lighting. I tried other gaming mice at this price point and just couldn't do without the flick-scroll functionality of the Logitech scroll wheel. I'd grown accustomed to my old Logitech G9 and this mouse matches or improves upon every aspect of that mouse. The Logitech Gaming Software, that manages the button, sensitivity, and color profiles, is lightweight and easy to use (only uses about 30KB of memory to run in the background). If you don't care about matching color with your other components or keyboard, then stick with the Proteus Core. Otherwise, I highly recommend this mouse for top-notch performance, comfort, and aesthetics.

There was a few mouse in consideration before I bought the G502. But I needed one quick and Best Buy had it in stock so I went with it. Overall a good mouse, it is on the heavy side so if you want it for CS GO there are some other that are lighter. However the censor is great, it's great for other games since it does have a lot of buttons and you can easy set them to key or marco with the logitech app. As for the RGB, it's nice but I really don't care about RGB lighting, I have mine off all the time. The scroll wheel is a bit stiff, so I always have it on infinite scrolling for web browsing, it does get a bit to get use to because you will scrolll up a bit sometimes after scrolling down, but it is awesome to have. And when you do have it on infinite scrolling the scroll wheel does rattle a bit, not a big deal. Also it seem like it glide from side to side smoother than up and down, you won't notice when you're busy in game but it is noticeable if you think about it. But overall, it's a great mouse for everything.

I have used this mouse for around a month or two now and I can tell you this; it is definitely worth the money. I impulsively bought this mouse while it was on sale, I have no regrets. I'm currently using this mouse to play Counter Strike:Global Offensive (LEM) and it is great! I had been previously using a bulky mmo mouse so it definitely helped me unlock my potential! As for the build quality, the only thing I found a bit odd was the scroll wheel being made out of metal and the inside where the weights go is a bit odd ( <-- reason for 4 star review ). I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid gaming mouse!

I've had a Razor mouse before but this Logitech mouse was on sale and I liked the product features. After reviewing the online reviews I decided to try it out. I made a good choice this Mouse feels great in my hand, I didn't have to use any of the weights provided but It's good to know they are included to help customize this mouse the way you want to. Really that's what this Mouse is all about customizing, for the way you like to play!

The mouse I had lasted for about 20 years until it died on me so I was very out of the loop when it came to a high performance mouse to use. I went to the stores trying out each one on how it feels and have to say the Logitech G502 is the best feeling mouse for those who enjoy thumb support when using. PROS: Mouse is made well, has grip sides and rest support for thumb Multiple customization buttons and speeds Able to setup multiple profiles, I found this useful for "game mode vs standard mode" Software makes it very easy to customize every setting on the mouse Includes weights for the mouse to set the drag to the level you like CONS: Price , I feel it is a little overprices versus competitors Software must run in background Overall I would recommend this mouse for anyone who enjoys a balance between everyday use and a gaming mouse. The buttons are not too extreme at the same time very customizable to support your type of gameplay.

I'm using this to replace my Razer DeathAdder. I like razer but they have a lot of drawbacks and most of the time you're paying for the brand Name. This is an incredibly well built mouse. Everything the deathadder had plus more. It's got customizable weights, and a scroll wheel you can "unlock". Very ergonomic feel, and it looks nice in general. By far the best mouse I Have owned.

This mouse is really nice for the price. The only bad thing for me is the fact that you can't have it wired or wireless. Otherwise its for me pretty close to perfect for an all around gaming mouse.

The amount of options for the price I paid is just unbeatable. I use a 34 inch ultra wide monitor so high DPI was important to me. You can set up to 3 different profiles with multiple levels of DPI on each which is exactly what I need for different situations. Another thing I didn't realize this mouse has until I started using it was an unlock-able scroll wheel. This allows you to flick down/up for smooth click free scrolling. I don't know if I could live without this now. Overall with the button placements and nice thumb rest this is a very comfy to use mouse as well. It could be too large if you have smaller hands however. I paired this with a ROCCAT Taito Control (mid-size) mouse mat pad and can get precision down to a speck of dust.

I was extremely fond of my old G500 mouse, with its button layout, scroll selector switch, and weight customization. When it broke and I got a G700 replacement I was disheartened to see those features gone. Now with this G502, I have those back and custom RGB to boot. Set up my custom macros and etc in Logitech's driver and control suite and I was good to go. Would recommend.

Have had the previus mouse for quite some time and it was finally time for a new one so I dicided to get this one. I love the customizable weights just hoped there would be a carrying back or pouch to store them. The mouse has an incredible dpi sensitivity and great optical sensor. Over all it's a awesome mouse wich I forgot to mention has lots of micros that u can set to anything.

This gem is perfect for gaming. Great recommendation!

Because I do work as well as game, the big sell point for me was the scroll wheel. Perfect for my hands, which are big, comfortable after long hours of BF4. You can't go wrong with this mouse. Like it so much, I bought one for the office.

I do not game a lot, but I just like the extra weight of a gaming mouse. This mouse is super comfortable for my hand and has plenty of extra weight you can add. I love the scroll wheel on this mouse too.

but the weight and cable kept it from being a great mouse. Pros has a top sensor a lot of buttons great wheel function Cons the weight is 121 grams unweighted or 139 grams fully loaded. it's a brick so it's bad for competitive fps or are you an NFL Linebacker? the cord- it has a braided cable that over time gets tangled up and leaves your wire looking like crap. it's ugly i hate the way it looks

Very good quality, perfect lightweight design and comes with small metal plates to add weight incase you like a heavier mouse. Best mouse Ive ever purchased and i got the 2 year insurance plan that covers pretty much anything.
