Brought in my own stuff amp and wiring kit, up sold me the most expensive wiring kit would not install what I bought. Workers left before picking up my car so didn’t go through the sound or tell me I needed a noise reduction for the speakers. Very unprofessional. Was cleaning my car and found this piece of trim in between my seat, not sure where it’s from but wasn’t put back in.

I contracted with my local Geek Squad Auto Tech Installation Team to install a new four channel amplifier in my vehicle. I’ve had a plethora of work done on a few of my family vehicles by this very team, so my hopes were high and I knew what to expect!
To say the least, I was not dissappointed with the outcome. One of my two favorite installers was working and undertook the job of bypassing all factory amplification and wiring and then rewiring my six-channel Suburban, correctly, with my new four channel amplifier.
All things were done to my liking and specification and I could not be happier!

I used my Totaltech membership to receive free installation on my Pioneer amplifier. The appointment was shorter than expected, the wiring is super clean, and everything was tuned well. I have no complaints whatsoever. If you plan on installing several items from Best Buy, certainly look into Totaltech, as it helped save me a lot in labor costs.

Absolutely awful. I would never ever take my car to Best Buy ever again. I had an amp installed. I had the two-year warranty and I attempted to have the install fixed multiple times. Still bad. Then I wasn’t able to have it fixed at all because Best Buy FIRED all of their installers in my area. NO JOKE. My vehicle has summer tires and I live in Mn, so there was a limited time to have it fixed. When the 2nd year was near over, I did not renew for over $200. So I have been stuck with a bad install that was/is, crackling, popping, whining, and I have an amp that is now in protect mode. The last installer gave me a referral to an audio store. Do not take your car to Best Buy for installation. I included pictures of the cluster F that is now my amp. I am here today because I am looking at the extended warranty of my amp. Kicker says in their manual that if you buy it and have it professionally installed with their kit, they will give you a Kicker says in their manual that if you buy it and have it professionally installed with their kit, they will give you an additional warranty and that’s what I did. THEN, Looking at my receipt today, I see equipment on there that I never even purchased. $50. Oh, and they must’ve put the amp in one spot and then changed their mind because there was a hole that was causing water intake that I had to repair. Amp placement was overheating immediately, and even after having them fix it twice. I am over 2 years into the worst mistake I ever made with my car. 2018 Chevy Camaro. Dream car that I paid cash money for, no payments. I just wanted a boost in the sound quality, nothing fancy. I bought the amp at Best Buy, they chose it for me as the best one, and they installed it. I trusted them because they used to do my radio installs back in the early 2000s. Never again.

I had jose as my installer and he does great work. Very clean installs and everything sounded great. Overall it was a good experience and happy I had him install my first system!

I have had 3 speaker installs at different Best Buy’s and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Bad enough that I don’t believe I trust Geek Squad again. To start, when I bought the car I have no idea what the guy was thinking but he butchered the stereo install. I came in to get a new head unit put in, trouble shoot my subwoofer, and inspect the whole system. After picking up my car, he had the audacity to tell me the speakers were also blown. Keep in mind I used them the 1:45 minute ride to Best Buy. I nodded and said okay I’ll get new speakers, amp, and trim kit for the head unit. He told me to schedule an appointment for around 8 hours, which I have never heard of, to get everything done and get my car right. This is a tall ask considering it is a long drive to drop off my car and just find something to do for that long. To top it all off, he called me two hours early to say it was done. I was pumped to pick up my car, and found it not much better than when I dropped it off. He said the trim wasn’t right, which he told me to get the last visit. He installed no mic for the head unit, no steering wheel control or backup camera (all intended for my original visit). The speakers work but the subwoofer is not hooked up right, and the amp is a rats nest of wires. I had to take it to my local radio guys which I should have done initially. They themselves said that they couldn’t believe it was left like that and Best Buy usually does a great job, and I agree. I would not recommend the Best Buy in Summerville SC at all. I would have preferred he tell me it was too much or he didn’t know what to do instead of making a bad situation way worse. They had the gull to charge me the full cost for both of those visits as well.

Horrible horrible horrible service. Completly butchered the install. The team did not install it correctly and it had to be rewired completly. They diddnt even try to tune it. Blew my speakers immediatly due the the loc not being installed when they told me my vehicle was ready.

The time of installation was good about 90mins. Everything worked as expected, however the mounting of the amp behind the radio could’ve been better. As I was driving I can hear a rattle so I check and the amp was loose bouncing around…

Brandon is a joke of an installer. My work looks like a 3 year old did it. Installer was rude and uninformed. No cable management, busted head unit, lost material. This was the worst experience shopping I have ever had. Do yourself and your car a favor and stay far away from this place.

New vehicle had multiple scratches on driver's door panel after speaker install. Installed amplifier randomly "cuts out" during use.

I am happy with the speakers I had installed. However there was a lot of miscommunication between myself, the sales associate that scheduled the appointment and the tech. I wanted 4 speakers installed, only two were done because the geek squad tech said he couldn't fit the other two. Also, because we had to have another consultation about the process he wanted to cancel my appointment that morning and reschedule till mid July, That was not going to work for me because I had scheduled it in advance for a reason, I was also told after buying additional equipment I needed a sub not just the amp and speakers. I bought those on my own and had another company hook it up because of the hassles I had with initial installation.
