I am enjoying my new Acer. It's lighter and smaller than my old "worhorse" laptop which expired and went to cyber heaven recently. I looked and looked for a replacement and the one BIG caveat this time was that I had a VERY limited budget. It took a while, but I finally found this Acer...and I run a "big" Acer "all-in-one" on my desk at work...so I was confident of quality and performance. But I thought the price was too good to be true..."and therefore..." But when I went in to BB to inquire, although they did not stock it, the sales associate assured me that he thought this Acer would be a VERY good deal indeed...loaded with just the features I needed and nothing I didn't. I'm not a "gamer," so I did not need anything too "packed" or high end performance-wise. I would, therefore, highly recommend this unit to someone who wants excellent display, light weight, very credible performance and speed, and enough power to multi-task, etc. The price goes without saying...GREAT and very affordable for those on a modest budget.

Really appreciate the fast start up and backlit keyboard and the screen display is in Full HD...having 512 GB SSD makes this a steal

I had to rush and get this computer due to being ordered to work at home. It's one I had to "settle" for because my best buy limit was $700. It's actually better than I thought it would be for the price. I work in the Broadcast industry and needed a computer that could deliver. My Sony Vegas works well with it, processing and speed will do for now. Great buy for the money and I can pay it off in 12 months interest free. Super easy set up...voice AI leads you to up and running in no time!

I bought this unit as a birthday gift for my wife, a teacher. Before gifting I transferred her files and documents to the Acer from her elderly and failing previous laptop. My thoughts. The Acer Aspire 5 is a lightweight unit, which helps her as she carries it back and forth to school all the time. It is fast and quick to load up when turned on. Her programs and apps run quickly and smoothly. The jury is still out on the 512GB SS drive, but as she was already saving most of her school work in the cloud anyway, it appears it will work well. I am very pleased with the purchase and will probably buy another Acer when the time comes to replace mine. Although my Acer Aspire/M is running as well as the day I brought it home 4-5 years ago.

I got this for my highschool graduation. I like to play various games and recently started developing my own games. After having it for a month now, I still loves using it. I certainly think this is a good buy for the price.

I’m still “learning the ropes” (trying to figure out how to “pin” Internet Explorer to the tool bar, etc.), but everything works the way I need it to. It’s fast, the graphics and sound are good, & it has the updated features that I needed.

Easy to use. Had a tech set it up and transfer everything so I didn't have to go thru that headache. Works fine. The tech said his Acer was 14 years old and worked like new, that's why I went with Acer.

I had trouble with the it loosing it's internet connection first thing. I tried several things that didn't help. I finally had to do a software update on the wireless adapter to get it to work. I was disappointed that it wan't ready to go out of the box. Other than that it has been okay. I don't like that you have to press the corner of the pad to do a right mouse click. I would prefer buttons for that.

This computer at this price cannot be beat, I looked everywhere and this was the beast deal at this price range. The laptop is lightning fast and easy to carry.

Does everything I need for a bargain laptop. Battery life is a little less than I'd hoped.

The laptop is very lightweight, yet offers an ample sized monitor and a keyboard with the number pad. This is an excellent laptop for the price.

bought this to replace a laptop that we had for years. Love the large screen. The only negative is that the keyboard feels slightly too far left but I'm getting used to it.

I was able to get a laptop with an 8th gen i5 with 256gb of storage and 8gb of RAM, full HD, all in the 15.6 inch model. I bought this for my mother as she really needed a computer. The only thing I could complain about is the somewhat low brightness because she may go into very bright areas and it may be difficult for her to use the laptop, but other than that there is nothing to complain about. I was also able to receive 3 months of microsoft office and security for free.

The keyboard has a good feel and sizing so switching between work and laptop is comfortable. Good size screen for my eyes. Only down is the crap apps loaded on it, but pretty sure that all products would have those.

I love my new Acer Aspire 5 laptop. I've been using an extremely slow laptop for several years now - 4 GB Ram - and I couldn't take it any more. I did a lot of research before making this purchase as I know computers fairly well. I'm very happy with my new laptop! So easy to set up (I don't recall doing much of anything to set it up.) It came with a Norton Ultra trial & Windows 365 - also a trial. I'm certain this was a good investment. (I love the back lights with the keyboard. I didn't see it as a necessity, but with my eyesight being not so great, the lights behind the keyboard serve me well..)

I am satisfied with my laptop. I am able to do everything I need and have a great experience using it. No problems or issues with laptop.

So far this laptop is everything I had hoped for however I did not think about the weight when traveling. Is a little heavier than I anticipated.

Great laptop for price and have more memory than some priced much higher.

This laptop was easy to setup and use. The camera has great resolution for conferences and visual interactions. Great hard drive capacity and fast.
