checked out 2020 and 2021 models acer spin 713 chromebooks. I chose the 2020 model year 713 due to great sale price of 329.00 The newer model doe,s have better and newer intel chip. But i decided to get the 2020 year acer 713 , and save the extra 300.00 the newer model costs. 90% of newer model capabilities at 300.00 less is no brainer unless you work your chromebook hard for work. im happy with my choice.

I purchased this machine when it was awesomely discounted in price. The Spin 713 has a bright and beautiful screen, the processor is plenty fast, the keyboard is good, the trackpad is great, the port selection is fantastic, and the speakers are so-so. Battery life will get you through a full work day. I knew what I was getting when I ordered a machine with 4GB of RAM. 8 is always better.

I've been using it for about a month and so far I'm pleased. I initially had intermittent Wi-Fi issues, but figured out that Acer Chromebooks sometimes have issues with Netgear routers, which I have. I replaced my router and the connection issues vanished. The HD screen is awesome. My previous Chromebook's display is shameful compared to this! The touchscreen is very responsive. I don't know how I ever got along without the back-lit keyboard, it's great. The build quality is superb. The only thing I'm not overly impressed with is the sound. It's adequate, but could be better. The machine is also a little heavier than I would like but it's not a deal breaker. Overall, a cracking value.

Surprisingly fast considering the processor speed and ram, sound is really pretty crisp and good range for laptop speakers. Typing has been a great experience, very comfortable. Amazed by the sharpness of the display, had to turn the brightness down. Delighted with battery life, binged watched several (7) Justified episodes and was only down by 50%, and that's before I adjusted the screen brightness. The price was amazing, was on sale for 329, them I got a price adjustment when it dropped to 279. Incredible buy!

I picked up this chromebook to replace a several-year-old Celeron model, and what a difference it makes! The screen is bright and sharp, and the system runs really smoothly. I was a little concerned that 4 GB of RAM might not be enough, as that is the same amount my older chromebook had, but so far it's clear that the old one ran slowly just because of the processor.

Great - 2k screen, fast i3 processor, Wifi 6. Not so great - 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC drive. For the price I bought this for the RAM and eMMC drive are easily forgivable. Starts fast and runs smooth. Feels like a huge upgrade from the Acer Spin 11 that I was coming from. Again the screen is fantastic - great bargain buy.

Great Chromebook. Took it out of the box, put in my WiFi password and it was ready to go. Nice crisp screen (touch screen). Set up to printer was easy. Love the lit keyboard - my last Chromebook did not have one. It also has a slightly bigger screen. One reason I bought this was because the auto updates are good through Sep. 2028 and my last Acer Chromebook which is about 7 years old still works fine but its auto updates are up soon.

Surprisingly good performance and awesome screen quality for the discounted price I paid. Most Chromebooks in this price range tend to have low resolution or low brightness screens, but not this one. There is another Acer Chromebook sku that recently received a price cut that includes 8GB ram and a 128GB ssd which is now the better deal in my opinion for continued great performance a few years from now. Apps, games, web browsing always demand more and more from the hardware.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 713 is a definite upgrade from the basic Dell Cromebook I've been using & never adapted to. The keyboard is quite good (nice feel to the keys). I type 68 words per minute on a regular keyboard...but not on a laptop or chromebook. Haven't tried a speed test on the Acer...but it feels quick. The monitor is clear, crisp from every angle. The machine is light...easy to carry...but doesn't feel delicate. I'm very pleased with the Acer so far...I'm still learning the finer points of chromebook after a life of desktop/laptop computer...I expect to like the new Acer even better as I adapt.

Note: I purchased this laptop for $275 when it was on sale. At that price, the Spin 713 is the clear choice. Its 1440p 3 by 2 display will put the usual 720p 18 by 9 displays found on other devices to shame. The glass trackpad gives the laptop a more premium feel than expected. However the plastic keyboard deck is a clear reminder that this is a Chromebook. The battery life is excellent, as I easily achieved 8 plus hours while watching Youtube and web browsing. However, I did note that on video streaming sites, such as Crunchyroll, battery life was reduced to 4 hours vide playback. Overall, this is a great secondary device as it an excellent media consumption device.

I thought the i3 plus 4GB of RAM was still enough for a Chromebook. Not anymore. The screen format is nice and display excellent. Keyboard not so good. Chrome OS is no longer as light as it used to be. I'm pretty sure Windows would run better with this same specs, and for less money probably. I read some reviews for the i5 plus 8GB before purchase but I did not find for the i3. I think it should be paired with at least 6GB in RAM to work well, in my opinion.

Since pandemic, kids been carrying around heavy back packs. I got this for them so they don’t have to. Didn’t expect this to be great. But it is! The screen is crisp and setup to control kids usage is east out of the box. Highly recommended.

I replaced my out-of-date Toshiba Chromebook 2 which I really liked with this Acer, and I really like it. The taller screen is great and looks very good. Speakers are just adequate but no big deal for me. Touchscreen works good. Computer operates fast connects to the internet very quickly.

I replaced a six year old Lenovo 100S chromebook with this Acer Spin 713 and the difference is night and day. Chromebooks have sure come a long way in the past six years and the Acer Spin 713 is rated as one of the best for 2021. This new Acer has a beautiful display that is bright, sharp and just a pleasure to look at. This chromebook "only" has a core i3 with "just" 4 gig of ram but really that's more than enough for most any of my web based needs. The load times and overall speed is much improved over my old Chromebook with its Atom processor. The taller screen aspect ratio is nice as it puts more content in view with less need for scrolling. Setup was quick and easy as expected. The BB awesome Flash sale price of 329 made this purchase a fantastic deal and an easy choice. BB nailed it again!
